Originally from England, I grew up playing a wide range of sports, football (soccer), rugby, tennis etc. I took hockey (field) and sailing most seriously and while I loved the team aspects over time, I moved towards individual sports for the flexibility they offered around work.
After 6 years of working in finance in London, I emmigrated to Vancouver before moving to Penticton in the summer of 2022. Moving to Canada coincided with a career change away from finance and in to the world of fitness. I have never been happier and love sharing my passion with other people.
I started going to the gym when I was a bit older, as it never appealed to me - I would always prefer to be running around outside chasing a ball! However, once I started taking sport more seriously, I began to understand the benefits of strength training. I committed to going and began to enjoy the process once I understood what I was doing and why. Now I actually look forward to my gym sessions.
I first started triathlon in 2014 when I raced Challenge Weymouth. Even though I finished it was a brutal experience and I made pretty much every mistake you can make which allowed me to learn them first hand. Despite the pain it lit a fire and I transitioned into triathlon as a full time sport.
